Transcendental Beats

With Transcendental Beats, I wanted to capture the idea of fighting and overcoming a depression. The music portraits a long trip of transformation; from dark to bright, melancholy to joy, heavy to light, slow to fast, muted to open. It as well an etude in complex polymetres and polyrhythms. This demands great focus throughout the whole piece from the performers, in order to keep the tension of the music.
